
Reformer
Our reformer classes are based in athletic, contemporary Pilates. The beauty of the reformer is the resistance in both directions. Unlike free weights or mat work, you are on a moving machine accessing muscles you didn’t know existed, building functional muscle (both strong and flexible), and getting feedback from the spring tension or lack there of. Spring loads can be manipulated to create a class focused on heavier weight or a light load can be more challenging for stability work.
Mat
The class that made the Shed. Our mat classes are a unique blend of yoga and mat Pilates. We focus on both strength and ease in every shape and series. Class is designed to leave you feeling challenged yet open. We often use props including weights, blocks, balls, foam rollers, and more to give you feedback as you build strength and gain flexibility.
The Studio
Join us at our new studio at 1006 Lafayette Street! We are set to open March 3rd, 2025. After five years of starting this out of my literal shed and growing this community, The Shed is expanding into YOUR backyard. Find us at our new studio in West End Richmond.
